3M VHB Tape 4991, a high-performance double-sided foam tape from 3M:

 Key Features

• It is a gray double-coated acrylic foam tape, part of the “4941 family” of VHB tapes. 

• Thickness: 0.090 in (2.3 mm / ~90 mil).  

• Liner: Polyethylene (PE) film (5 mil thick) with red printed liner. 

• Adhesive: Multi-purpose acrylic adhesive on both sides, with a conformable acrylic foam core, giving strong adhesion and flexibility. 

• Substrate compatibility: Bonds to a broad range of high and medium surface energy substrates including metals (aluminium, stainless, galvanised steel), glass, a variety of paints and plastics (ABS, polycarbonate) and even plasticised vinyl.

• Designed for permanent bonding: Can replace rivets, welds, screws, or liquid adhesives in many applications. 

• Excellent durability: Offers strong performance outdoors, in UV, moisture, solvent exposure, vibration or impact stress.
